A GUIDE TO MYOKO FLOWERS

The richly varied topography of the area around Mount Myoko and Mount Hiuchi is home to numerous kinds of flowers. This chart shows when the major species found near Mt. Myoko and Mt. Hiuchi are generally in bloom (and which may change depending on the weather).

Each flower is listed by its Japanese name, its Latin name, and, where used, its English name. Simply roll the cursor over an image to see a more detailed view of the flower. This is just a sampling; there are hundreds of flowers covering the wide range from the warm temperate zone around Myokokogen Station, to the high Alpine zones on Mt. Myoko, Mt. Hiuchi and other local peaks.
